LiveUp 2.0.0: A Brand-New Design and Images on the Lock Screen
2.0.0 is a major release. The whole interface is redrawn into one consistent style, every activity type can carry an image, onboarding is smoother, and cards gain light and dark colour schemes.
LiveUp 2.0.0 is here, and it is a major release. We redrew the Home screen, activity cards, Dynamic Island, edit form, and Settings into one consistent visual language — and we brought images to the Lock Screen: every activity type can now carry an image.
Key Updates
A Brand-New Design
Home, activity cards, Dynamic Island, the edit form, and Settings have all been redrawn and finally share one design language.
- Cards now have light and dark colour schemes, and can follow your system appearance
- A new app icon, plus an icon picker in Settings with 5 choices, 3 of them Pro
- Clearer hierarchy and spacing, so the important details on a card read at a glance
One thing to note: card colours only affect in-app cards and Home Screen widgets. Live Activities on the Lock Screen always use the native system style, so they stay consistent and legible there.
Images on the Lock Screen
This is the feature we most want you to try in 2.0.0: every activity type can carry an image.
- Ticket QR codes, pickup-code screenshots, a photo on a note — attach any of them to a card
- A new single-frame cropper with 1:1, 16:9, and free ratios
- Smart recognition and shared screenshots keep the source image and attach it to the result card
- The share extension can now pin an image directly — share a photo from Photos or another app and it goes on screen
A Smoother Start
- New three-step onboarding, with examples ordered by what you most need to remember
- Home now shows an "On Lock Screen" placeholder and warns you when you pass the 4-activity limit
- Tap a card to edit it directly; the pinning controls now live at the bottom of the form
More Improvements
- Boarding time on flight cards
- Custom link titles for reminders and notes
- New Traditional Chinese and Japanese interfaces
- Cleaner station names in the compact layout
- Bug fixes and improved overall stability
Who Should Update
LiveUp 2.0.0 is especially worth updating if you:
- Want a more consistent, better-looking interface
- Often need to put QR codes, pickup codes, or ticket screenshots on your Lock Screen
- Are new to LiveUp and want to get started faster
- Use Traditional Chinese or Japanese
How to Update
Open the App Store, search "LiveUp" and update to the latest version, or head to the App Store page. LiveUp requires iOS 16.1 or later.
FAQ
Can Lock Screen cards use custom colours too?
No. Card colours only affect in-app cards and Home Screen widgets. Live Activities on the Lock Screen always use the native system style, which keeps them consistent and readable there.
Do I have to pay to put images on the Lock Screen?
No. Attaching an image to an activity is available to everyone. The free limits only apply to smart recognition: smart parsing gives you 3 free runs for text and 3 for images, while Pro is unlimited.
Can free users use scheduled start?
Yes. Free users can schedule 1 timed start; LiveUp Pro is unlimited. Pro includes four benefits: unlimited smart parsing, iCloud sync across devices, unlimited scheduled starts, and continued access to new Pro features as they ship. The annual plan comes with a 7-day free trial.
Will I lose data when upgrading from an older version?
No. Just update in the App Store — your existing activities and settings are preserved.
