LiveUp 1.6.2: Delayed Shortcut Activation & Better Automation Flow

Version 1.6.2 adds delayed activation and scheduled start for Shortcuts, a cleaner shortcuts entry in Settings, and more reliable repeat auto-activation.

LiveUp 1.6.2 is here, focused on Shortcuts and automation. This update makes it easier to decide not only what to create, but also when an activity should start.

Key Updates

Delayed Activation for Shortcuts

When you create an activity through Shortcuts, you are no longer limited to immediate activation. You can now choose the start timing that fits the situation:

  • Activate now: Best for timers, delivery tracking, or meetings you need right away
  • Delay by 30 minutes or 1/2/3 hours: Better for prep time and later reminders
  • Start at a specific time: Ideal for Siri automation and scheduled flows

This makes LiveUp Shortcuts much more useful in commute, calendar, focus, and reminder automations.

Clearer Shortcut Parameters

We also reorganized the shortcut parameters so the setup is easier to understand:

  • Activation state is more obvious
  • Delay is chosen separately
  • Specific-time flows clearly require a valid time

If you choose a specific time without providing one, or pick a time that is too close to now, LiveUp shows a direct message instead of failing silently.

A Better Shortcuts Entry in Settings

The Shortcuts help page in Settings has also been streamlined:

  • View and add all LiveUp shortcuts from one place
  • Easier to connect with Siri and system automation
  • Recommended shortcut combos are still highlighted

If you used to open individual links one by one, the new entry is a faster way to explore the whole set.

More Practical Recommended Combos

Version 1.6.2 continues to improve the recommended combo approach, especially for flows like screenshot recognition:

  • Capture a screenshot
  • Grab the latest screenshot automatically
  • Run image recognition and create the activity

For users who often process flights, tickets, pickup codes, or delivery screenshots, this cuts down repetitive steps.

More Reliable Repeat Auto-Activation

This release also improves auto-activation scheduling for repeating activities:

  • Repeating activities enter the auto-activation flow more reliably
  • Fewer missed triggers in scheduled scenarios
  • Better predictability after creating activities through automation

It is not the most visible feature in the UI, but it matters for anyone who depends on recurring flows.

Who Should Update

LiveUp 1.6.2 is especially useful if:

  • You create activities with Siri or Shortcuts
  • You want activities to start later instead of immediately
  • You chain screenshot recognition, text parsing, and automation together
  • You rely on repeating activities and need steadier auto-activation

How to Update

FAQ

What is the biggest change in 1.6.2?

The biggest change is flexible activation timing in Shortcuts, including delayed activation and specific scheduled start times.

Is this release only useful for Shortcuts users?

Most of the visible value is in Shortcuts and automation, but the repeat auto-activation reliability improvements also help recurring activity users.

Do I need to add my shortcuts again?

Usually no. You can open the new shortcuts entry in Settings, review your current setup, and add combo flows only if needed.
