LiveUp 1.6.4: Create Live Activities with AI Recognition

LiveUp 1.6.4 is here. This release puts intelligent recognition at the center: paste a piece of text or pick a screenshot, and AI turns it into a Live Activity you can review before activating.

Key Updates

Create with AI Recognition (LiveUp Pro)

Quick Create now ships with an AI recognition pipeline and two entry points:

• Paste text: Drop in order SMS, trip notifications, or chat messages
• Pick a screenshot: Choose an image from Photos and let OCR + AI extract the key fields

The result is a reviewable, editable card. You confirm before it goes live, so automation never feels out of control. The feature is available to LiveUp Pro users.

A Dedicated HUD Activity Type

For AI-generated content, 1.6.4 adds a dedicated HUD activity type:

• More focused Lock Screen and Dynamic Island layouts
• Clear sections for title, subtitle, and key facts
• Long summaries are no longer truncated, so important details stay readable

If the generic activity layout felt cramped before, the HUD type fits semi-structured AI content much better.

Smart Card Engine, Rebuilt

Under the hood we unified the text and image pipelines:

• Evidence-based fixed-template parsing: Reduces hallucination — key fields must trace back to a source span
• Typed facts schema: More stable fields, more predictable edit forms
• Unified envelope: Shortcuts, Siri, and in-app flows now share the same result format

The same content produces the same result, no matter where it enters from.

New AI Recognition Shortcuts

Two new shortcuts ship with this release:

• AI Recognize Text: Input text → Live Activity
• AI Recognize Image: Input image → Live Activity

Both shortcuts support the new "activation" and "card style" parameters, so you can wire them into screenshot automations, email rules, or Focus modes.

Clearer Entry Points and Onboarding

• New AI Recognition entry in Settings
• Help center now covers AI Recognition
• Onboarding has been simplified around AI Recognition; the legacy "scenes" page was removed

First-time users now reach the new smart creation flow much faster.

Is AI Recognition free?

AI Recognition is a LiveUp Pro feature. Free users can still use basic Quick Create and manual creation.

What if the AI gets it wrong?

The new engine uses evidence-based parsing, but AI can still make mistakes. Every result lands in an editable card, so you can fix any field before activating.

How is the HUD activity type different from the previous one?

The HUD activity type is laid out for semi-structured AI content. Title, key facts, and summary are sectioned more clearly, and the summary is no longer truncated.
